California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE)

CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL PROFICIENCY EXAM (CHSPE): A person may take the CHSPE if he or she is at least 16 years old, or he or she has been enrolled in the tenth grade for one academic year or longer, or he or she will complete once academic year of enrollment in the tenth grade at the end of the semester during which the CHSPE regular administration (i.e. spring or fall) will be conducted. For more information about this test, see CHSPE. While the UC and CSU recognize the CHSPE as the equivalent of a high school diploma, applicants must also have successfully completed the full set of required high school course requirements and standardized admission tests. See CaliforniaColleges.edu for complete admission requirements for California public colleges.
