Principal’s Message
What a great start to the school year! We witnessed belonging throughout the week, ranging from the SEA-SIDE! chant at the Kickoff to the diversity of connection activities inside (and outside) classrooms to Friday’s activities. The energy on campus is infectious and we will continue to communicate high expectations with care and support.
Take a moment to hear about your student's first week of school was at Seaside High School, especially as we seek feedback. Additionally, take a moment to review key expectation snd policies that we shared with students as we will fully implement starting Monday.

Student Leaders Welcome Students
Leadership and Link Crew students went through multiple days of orientation and work days to implement Freshmen Orientation along with activities for the first week of school. Their leadership represents the power of youth, especially when they collaborate to show what it means to be a Spartan!
First Friday
We wrapped up the week with Spartan First Friday, giving students opportunities to connect through a four-station rotation featuring school expectations, our club fair, grade-level rallies, field training, and a school-wide assembly, featuring alum J2. The day was designed to build relationships, school spirit, and a strong sense of belonging.

Back to School Kickoff
Spartan Staff kicked off the week together at the MPUSD Back to School Kickoff, showing up in SHS gear and bringing plenty of school spirit. We closed the morning by practicing our reunification procedures together to ensure we are prepared to keep our community safe.
Sports Physicals Tuesday
We are offering sports physicals on Wednesday, August 12th. Any student-athlete can get their physical done affordably and it is good until next school year. Additionally, 10th grade students can receive a physical education waiver by completing in at least two sports seasons.
