Seaside High Lady Spartan Soccer
Seaside defeats Everett Alvarez 2-1 in preseason play
The Seaside Lady Spartan varsity soccer team had an away preseason game vs. Everett Alvarez Tuesday evening.
Falling behind 1-0 early in the first half, freshman Jacky Vazquez quickly equalized with her 3rd goal of the season. Late in the first half she would continue her scoring streak by placing another ball in the back of the net to pull the lead to 2.
Playing with only 1 sub, the entire team pulled together for an extremely impressive effort against a tough Alvarez team. Impressive play from freshman GK Angie Vazquez as she played in her first high school game as keeper. Elizabeth Lucas brought energy and toughness all night as well as excellent communication and leadership from Cindy Quiroz and Monserrat Bastida.
